Park4Night Redesign
As an avid user of Park4Night—a trusted app for camper van owners to find safe and suitable overnight spots—I’ve consistently relied on it for nearly every trip I take. Its utility and user-friendly design have made it an essential tool for me and many others in the camper van community.
Driven by a desire to enhance my UI design skills and transition from Sketch and Adobe XD to Figma, I embarked on a redesign project for Park4Night’s user interface. Rather than working with a fictitious brand or concept, I chose to focus on an app I genuinely appreciate, giving this project both relevance and authenticity.
Throughout this redesign process, I delved deep into Figma’s capabilities, from its extensive plugin ecosystem to its powerful variants feature. The experience was both educational and rewarding, solidifying my understanding of what Figma has to offer.
I approached the redesign with a structured UI design methodology, starting with wireframes based on the existing app. My goal was to identify areas for improvement while maintaining the integrity of the user journey. By refining the design without overhauling the core experience, I aimed to create enhancements that the Park4Night team could seamlessly integrate, should they choose to adopt any of these suggestions.
This project was both a personal endeavour to express my appreciation for Park4Night and a practical exercise to advance my proficiency in Figma.
